Our Programs

For 2015

Key focus areas: Principles of Sustainable Farming, Vegetable Field Production, Greenhouse Growing, Pastured Poultry Production, Pastured Livestock Production (optional), and Farm Planning, Business and Management.

Full-Year Immersion (FYI) – The Full-Year Immersion program is designed to qualify trainees for farm crew leadership and assistant manager positions, with professional levels of competence in core production skills and management of farm systems.  Participants will emerge with efficient working methods, the ability to create farm production and business plans, and having made valuable connections in the farm community.

Farm Entry Short Courses (FESC) – These courses, workshops and events are designed to bring together veterans who are new to agriculture, or who are interested in farming but don’t know where to begin, or who want to learn specific farm skills without making a year long commitment.  The courses are an opportunity for veterans to meet, work and learn together,  and to develop basic farm skills, knowledge, and experience of production practices through hands-on training and instruction.
